CCCFC U11 Match report Print

Match report v Highworth ( home) on 6th Nov 2016.
Castle Combe Colts produced an improved performance from last week.
Matty sent a great ball through which Joel took past the keeper. After clever shielding in the area, Nick was brought down Joel banged in the penalty. Before half time James did a long kick from goalkeeper position which Joel latched on to to score his hat trick. In the second half Ollie put in a lovely through ball and Joel squared it for James to tap home. Then a great run and shot from Sam ended with James scoring his second. A lovely through ball from Sam and a delicious chip from Joel added to the tally.
James cracked home after great work from Freddie before a beautiful through ball from Will to James set up another. Finally Freddie went on a mazy dribble which the keeper saved and James tapped in to complete the scoring.
Overall Cole, Kwaku, Matty, along with Seby, played excellently in defence and worked together to stop many attacks. Everyone contributed and the work rate was much better from everyone. Well done!

Things to improve;
1. Playing out from the goalkeeper. Make sure passes or kicks go to the wings, short or long ones. Don't put defenders in trouble from our kick.
2. Marking the opposition at corners and goal kicks- make sure you are goal-side and closely marking!
