NWL U11: AFC Newbury Whites v CCCFC Print

CCCFCU11Jermaine

Let me start to say how pleased I am with everyone attitude and determination today.
Goals from Matty, Joel (2)
We started well and kept our shape especially the three defenders. Communication is improving and we are becoming more aware if we leave our positions.
We opened the scoring with Matty’s lovely left foot drive bottom corner.
Newbury then did well to get themselves back into contention.
Second half - straight from kick off Will  got beyond his man and delivered  A class cross to which Newbury again done well to clear.
This was typical example of the boys attitude. We had great team spirit and was willing to do the tough work for our teammates.
Joel with his battling and persistent display manage to make a chance for himself. Keeper tried to narrow the goal however it wasn't enough as he nicely slotted bottom left.
Then we scored again - Harrison now playing left mid made a great pass to Joel who drilled his shot top right, keeper no chance.

Player summary:
Kwaku - calm nature and tough tackling kept our back line in check.
Cole - Great attitude and reading of the game. Your talking is improving it helps your team mates so keep it up.
Matty - Your energy and intelligent plays was evident throughout the match. Again communication was perfect lovely job.
Harrison - I was very impressed with your workrate off the ball. You battled well and your final ball  was good to see. You assisted Joel for his second.
Sam - The CDM role is perfect for you, your movement and understanding as well as positioning is becoming second nature.
Will - I should call you David Beckham, your crossing was spot on. You were involved throughout the match great job.
Nick - wing play was magical, could be tipped as Ryan Giggs (can you tell I'm a united fan). You have settled in really well and have been taking on board what myself and Darren have asked.
Freddie - Your Dynamic plays caused Newbury problems all game. Your now deciding when to dribble and when to pass. Keep this up.
Joel - two good goals but your attitude to stay relevant is great to see. What I mean by that, always willing to stay in the game and providing an option for your team mates.
Boys please note I was very impressed not just by the result but your attitudes. You have showed me the levels you can reach so I don't won't us dropping below that.
What I will mention, stamina is something we also need to work on. But we will get there.
Good job to you all.
