The majority of the squad turned up in cold difficult conditions and put in a spirited performance against a very big and physical team. On a positive note all of the players did what they were asked as Jason tried different combinations with players in different positions. 

 

The score at half time was 1-1 with Joe P finishing an excellent passing move, but this was cancelled out by us giving away a soft goal through some bad defending.

 

The break was too long for the blacks as we were caught napping early in the second half once again through some poor defending.  We didn't stay down for long and came back with a superb goal by Joe P  which came from some lovely passing moves involving the improving stars of Ollie and Henry who out in another stirling performance. We unfortunately gave away a penalty but Cannings were denied by a fantastic game winning save from Jude.

 

As the game was nearing the end we seemed to improve with the ball being passed between players and frustrating the Cannings boys.  Dante finished off his fantastic debut by netting the winner just a few moments before the final whistle!
