U15 CCCFC 8-1 Wanborough Print
Season 15/16 - Under 15

Our final home game of the season finished in a comfortable 8-1 victory over Wanborough, we had to come from a goal down after a very sluggish start allowed our visitors to score after only 50secs, our play in the first half failed to improve to the levels that we have shown this season, but somehow we managed to score 3 goals with 2 from Joe W, the first an excellent volleyed finish and the 2nd showed great composure when 1v1 with the keeper. Joe P scored the 3rd with a fine back post finish from a Dan corner. A few home truths were needed at half time and the colts responded with much a better display, the passing may have been even more fluent if the ground staff had managed to find a mower in the week!! Dan latched onto a loose ball to calmly side foot home the 4th on 54mins, Matt made the most of keeper error to stab home the 5th on 63mins, we were now in our best passage of play as the goals flowed, Eddie scored a fine solo effort on 67mins going past 4 opponents before slotting past the keeper, 2mins later Luca scored an excellent goal with a sublime chip over the advancing keeper and then right at the death on 80mins a Matt corner was unselfishly headed back across goal by Tom L for Joe P to head in his 2nd of the game. Well done, very good 2nd half performance from all.

Man of the match: Joe Pollard - started as sub, but as soon as he came on after 25mins he livened up the game with his direct running and energy, scored 2 good goals.

Next game: Robins FC away on Sat 21st May kick off 10.30am
