A good solid performance gave the colts a deserved victory at Swindon Superrmarine. It wasn't easy to play on a sticky pitch, but to the credit of both teams some of the passing football witnessed was excellent. The colts opened the scoring on 7mins as Matthew struck a ferocious shot past the keeper. Shortly after Eddie was sent sprawling by the keeper and a penalty was correctly awarded after some debate Matthew stepped up to take the kick, can't say too much about it other than the score remained 1-0 ! We gave ourselves a 2 goal cushion on 16mins after a fine jinking run in the box and a composed finish from Eddie. However the whole team then seemed to relax a little too much and we allowed Supermarine back into the game on 18mins when a fine strike gave James little chance in goal. We had to endure a difficult period as Supermarine got a foothold in the game and started to cause us a few problems defensively, we stuck at it and were rewarded with a 3rd goal on 36mins after a long pass from Dan caused confusion between their goalkeeper and a defender allowing Eddie to latch onto the loose ball and score from a very tight angle. 1-3 at halftime.

The 2nd half pretty much played out the same as the 1st with both teams having good spells, James scored the 4th with an excellent left footed shot that went in off the bar, at this point we looked comfortable, however Superrmarine never gave up and it took a great save from Krzysztof to keep it at 4-1, eventually the pressure told and Supermarine got their 2nd on 70mins, we reacted well to this setback and comfortably saw out the last 10mins. A good win that sets up nicely for next weeks game. Well done and thank you.

Man of the match: a difficult choice, but Matt gets it for getting us going with the 1st goal and was a constant threat on the right wing.
