The whites played another testing friendly which will stand them in good stead as they look to round off the league season including any potential play off games.

Bath Arsenal brought their Pumas to Colts HQ supplimented by a few Tigers. Seemingly as always, our Lads rose to the challenge of playing talented opponents and took the game to our visitors immediately. Whilst the coaches would have preferred to have seen a bit more passing and patient build up - the guys took to snapping into challenges and being first to every ball. So - Ill settle for that!! With virtually our whole defence unavailable today we were reliant upon the superb Felix, magnifficent JJ and the physically imposing Max to keep our visitors at bay. The other two shifts in defence were take up by two players who usually play elsewhere - Archie and Tom. Both were so brilliant, I cant decide between them for todays man of the match. Um, I'll go for Archie as he did score our second goal.

We got the scoreboard moving early - it was well deserved and came from the penalty spot. Max Campbell dusting himself off and lashing the ball into the corner of the net after being tripped. We went into half time still in the lead but that was pegged back early in second half when our defence allowed a trio of attackers to run onto a loose cross and smash the ball in. I looked around  - a few of ours looked tired and disappointed. Did they have the character to come back?

Hell yeah. JJ sent over an inch perfect corner in the 50th minute and Archie rose like a salmon to head us back into the lead. Could we hold on for what would be a hard fought and just deserved win? Not quite. Fitness I would say was on Arsenals side - and pressure was building. In one foray a penalty was given - Max Coupland in goal got a hand to the ball but couldnt quite keep it out. 2-2. Honours even. I really enjoyed watching our guys locking horns with this side and was proud of each and every one of them.
