The guys were absolutely fantastic against really good opponents in a match played in great spirit. We were able to make a massively strong start and spent the entire first half bossing events.

Every player won his own personal battle - the passing and supporting play was wonderful to watch. Our goal in the first half is currently in the lead for the goal of the season. Felix beat 3 players and played in JBW - he beat 2 players and played it to....Louie, he went round another defender and squared it for Archie to finish - it was a brilliant sustained period of pressure. Worton only got into our half a couple of times in the entire half - but on the second occasion they somehow managed to score completeley against the run of play!

I should have explained that - unfortunately the allocated ref pulled out on saturday night. The (Dad) standin ref awarded a penalty and a free kick in the second half that no-one else on the field saw. Both set pieces resulted in goals leaving the home team inexplicably in the lead. Our team remained on top (and Angus scored another goal) but we ran out of time in getting the further goals we deserved. I would have been  gutted to draw this match so Im really not happy that we lost! The lads gave me everything though so i cannot complain.
