A fantastic team performance from the colts gave them an impressive 11-3 victory over our opponents Liden. We were quick out of the blocks when Jamie opened the scoring on 2mins with a neat finish from a Matthew corner, our 2nd goal on 3mins was one of the best goals I have seen since i have managed the colts, a couple of parents also had the same opinion about this goal, Eddie took control of the ball, he went past two Liden players before passing the ball out to Matthew who in turn slid a nice pass through to Jamie, his first time lay off was met by Eddie who struck a terrific shot past the keeper from just inside the box. The colts continued to play some good passing football and more goals were scored by Eddie on 12mins & 20mins, James 16mins & Toby 32mins. Liden were rewarded with 2 goals of their own on 14 & 22mins when they caught us napping at the back. 6-2 at halftime.

Only 2mins into the 2nd half and James scored his 2nd when he diverted Jamie's volley into the net. Jamie deservedly notched his 2nd on 37mins, Matthew was causing havoc down the right wing and was constantly creating chances with his crosses, Joe E very nearly scored his first goal, but somehow his shot hit the post Toby made sure from the rebound, Eddie got his 4th on 54mins and James completed the scoring on 57mins when free kick deceived the keeper. To their credit Liden did not stop battling and were rewarded with a goal right at the end on 70mins.
