First of all- a word for out hosts who displayed 100% sportsmanship and kept going until the last minute on what was obviously a difficult day for them. Fair play to you Warminster.

On to the game - the lads scored at regular intervals all through the game and we were able to get plenty of names on the scoresheet by moving people around into unfamiliar positions. The pitch was tiny and a little heavy - again, fair play to Warminster for getting the game on - so it gave our guys a few new puzzles to solve. They solved it in the first half by keeping their positions and  thoughpassing the ball - Archie smashed in two before Ben joined in by scoring from close range. Mad Max ended a barnstorming run by driving the ball into the roof of the net. Alex then got a a well deserved goal - when he lashed the ball past a keeper who was saving lots of shots and playing well. A special mention for our defence of Toby, Joe and Felix who kept disipline and kept recycling the ball for our attacks. JJ  was absolutely outstanding - winning all his individual battles. 5-0 at half time.

Archie took 4 minutes of the second half to complete his hatrick and came off as arranged. Felix capped off a great display by notching the 7th before Ben chipped in his second of the game. Things were getting a bit scrappy now - partly because of the manager moving people around and partly due to the lads desire to get on the scoresheet. Toby - in a right wing role - grazed the post with a great attempt. Jayden came close on 4 or 5 times  - the best was a drive from outside the box. Tom scored his first goal of the season before Max rounded things off nicely with the 10th.

You just have to enjoy these games when they come along - good finishing, good fitness, good decision making. Tougher tasks ahead though........

I cant split Toby, JJ or Felix for the man of the match award. Well done everyone.
