U10 Blue Division: Worton & Cheverell 0 CCCFC Whites 5 Print
Season 13/14 - Under 10 White

The Whites produced a footballing display to be proud of to defeat a talented Worton & Cheverell outfit on their own patch.
Worton posed plenty of questions throughout but the Colts were both clinical in attack and determined in defence to emerge with their fifth win in five Blue Division outings.
The home side made the better start but were denied an opener by the outstanding Tom’s pace and tenacity at the back and Max’s safe hands in goal.
A searching pass from Luke evaded the Worton keeper and presented Brandon M with the chance to put the Colts 1-0 up. He gratefully accepted it and was on hand to double his tally moments later after Toby did well to retain possession and cross from the left.
Worton then hit the bar with a superb curling free-kick and it took a wonderful one-handed save from Max to turn behind a vicious shot from the same player in the second half.
A swift break from back to front produced the visitors' third goal, with Bradley converting the one-on-one chance with a low finish.
Toby - who soldiered on after taking a blow to the face – then broke free on the left and drilled the ball home confidently to add to the Colts’ advantage.
Worton kept battling but Josh and Tom were superb in the tackle, with the latter also taking the game to the home side with some powerful runs from deep.
With Luke producing a disciplined performance in the engine room and George full of running out wide, Colts rounded off the scoring when Bradley’s low, right-wing corner found its way into the net.
An excellent performance and result – achieved despite the absence of a couple of players due to half-term – should give the Whites plenty of confidence ahead of their acid test at home to fellow unbeaten side FC Bath in a fortnight’s time.
