CCCFC U9's "C" Tournament Print
Season 09/10 - Under 9

After quick introductions between Managers, Steve and Dave and players, the team were set a difficult task of FC Chippenham Panthers, in their opening group game. A brilliant solo effort from Sebbie, ensured Colts got off to aflyer and a well deserved win, thanks to some stout defending by Heather and brave 'keeping from Jamie E. The next 2 matches ended in narrow defeats but U9's could still go through with a win against unknown quantity, Deerswood. Unfortunately the team from Bristol proved to be a strong outfit and were eventual semi-finalists but the team showed tremendous spirit and were a credit to themselves and the Club. Charlie working tirelessly upfront, providing attacking options for Jamie C and Jacob in midfield and Joshua F, playing in an unfamiliar role in defence, inspired the team with some meaty tackles, however, the team eventually went down 0-3. Overall, U9's can take a lot of positives from the way they listened to instructions, tried their best and played with smiles on their faces, making the task of Coaching them a pleasure. A special mention to Sebbie, Jamie E for his excellent 'keeping (and Harry and Ewan who played in the Whites) for making the step up into an older agegroup. (Steve)
