U9 CCCFC 3 - 1 Trowbridge Town B Print
Season 09/10 - Under 9

Colts played their penultimate game of the season away to Trowbridge on Saturday and inside 2 minutes scored probably their best goal of the campaign. A fine pass from Dan found Joseph on the rightflank who played a brilliant 1-2 with Eddie which allowed him to take the ball to the byline and cross for the prolific Matthew to finish first time inside the penalty area. 6 minutes later a wellworked setpiece involving Joseph and Joshua G resulted in the latters' fine strike nestling in the home sides bottom corner as the boys in black and white raced into a  2-0 lead. Town pulled a goal back but with Jimmy replacing Joseph, U9's were providing a big threat from their corners. On 14' a superbly flighted corner form Dan found the unmarked Jimmy, who headed into the roof of the net and ensured the Visitors went into the break 3-1 up. In the 26th minute, a counter attack involving Alex and Jimmy, released Eddie who unselfishly centred for skipper Matthew, however, his goalbound effort was well blocked by the Trowbridge defender. The boys began to tire in the heat and allowed Trowbridge to dominate but Alec, gaining in confidence, dived low at his nearpost on 34' to deny Town a goal and 2 minutes later the Colts number 1 was again on hand to keep the score at 3-1 and complete a hatrick of wins against Trowbridge this Season.

Move of the match. One touch play involving Dan, Joseph, Eddie and goalscorer Matthew.
