U9's have played few matches since November, so the Managers decided to award Player of the Month on the basis of training attendance and effort shown during practice. January's Player of the Month was presented to Charlie and he received his trophy pitchside before the 0-2 Cup defeat by Chippenham Town Youth on Saturday. Charlie was the recipient after displaying huge commitment to training, which has seen great improvement in his all round technique, particularly dribbling and passing. The match itself failed to live up to expectations and unusually, Colts struggled to create many chances and were defeated by the better team on the day. On a positive note, skipper Matthew led the team in a loud and enthusiastic 3 cheers that showed everyone present, that although the U9's have suffered only 2 defeats this season, the team is gracious in victory and magnaminous in defeat
