U11W AFC Corsham 1 CCCFC 7 Print
Season 09/10 - Under 11 White

A sunny but cold Leafy Lane welcomed CCCFC

Straight from the kick-off it was clear that the boys were keen to score. Almost immediately Fin put Aaron through and his shot slid just wide. Even so it took till the 6th minute for George to poach the first goal. Aaron continued to test the keeper until finally getting his breakthrough on 12 mins. This was quickly followed by a third when a lobbed pass from Lewis was finished by Fin. The fourth gave Alex his first goal of the season when the ball came loose from a melee in front of goal. CCCFC then lost their shape somewhat as they pushed forward and Corsham got one back to leave the score 1-4 at the break.

Charlie added a fifth when he pounced on a poor clearance at the start of the second half. Joseph was again causing problems on the left wing and his crosses were providing Aaron, George and Charlie with plenty of chances. CCCFC's passing game then escaped them for a while and had to then spend some time fending off Corsham pressure. This did however give Jordan something to do in goal, and showcase Ellis's superb tackling and calmness on the ball. Tom and Adam held the centre solidly and the combination of the vision and hard work from Lewis, Harry and Joe meant that CCCFC resumed their dominance of the game. A small reorganisation gave Tom the chance to add a couple of goals, one from a corner, and another from an Alex - Lewis link up to leave the final score Corsham 1 - 7 CCCFC.
